End Of the Beginning

I am Behruz, you probably already know since you have visited my website. I am a 21-year-old software engineer and AI engineer.

I am currently working at numeo.ai as an AI Product Engineer. You can check out what we do by visiting the website.

I started programming around 2019 or 2020. I was inspired by The Social Network and Steve Jobs movies, which pushed me toward building my own things. However, the desire to build something of my own existed even before watching those movies. I am from a family where engineering mattered a lot. My grandfather was an electrical engineer, and for a long time I wanted to become an electrical or mechanical engineer as well.

Later, things changed. I discovered programming, fell in love with it, and forgot about everything else. I was locked in almost 20 hours a day, learning to code and building stupid and useless projects, but learning a lot through the process.

I got into university at tsue.uz, studied there for about a year, and then dropped out. After that, I went to Poland and studied at vizja.pl for one year. During that time, I tried to build my first startup. I spent a good amount of money on it and it failed. I tried again, it did not work out, and I eventually came back to Uzbekistan.

After returning, I attended several hackathons and acceleration programs and joined startupgarage.uz, a venture studio. Later, I left Startup Garage because it felt more like an edtech startup than a true venture studio.

After that, I took some time to slow down, tried different things, and eventually ended up at numeo.ai. For now, this is where I am. I will continue the story later.
