What is a startup? (my view)

So the startup in my definition is some crazy idea that invents the way of doing something in most unimagined way by majority of people.

There are startups I know or we can say I am working at one of them, their idea, product or anything they are building is not innovative they will just try to build another CRM product yeah it will not be CRM by definition but while building it us engineers will know what it is actually.

If your idea is not disruptive or if you are not doing things that most people can't even imagine do not call it startup call it business, because you will just going to try and get customers with fancy marketing that your product doesn't deserve.

All depends on founders, there are founders that they try to build something by doing customer development interviews talking to a lot of people. If you do that you do not build startup you build business.

It is just my point of view, I do not care what top accelerators or venture firms say.

If you build something by asking people what to build that is not a startup.
